A simple rule

Start with the least intensive care that safely meets your need.

1 Call 911 for life-threatening symptoms.

2 Choose urgent care for prompt, non-emergency needs.

3 Start with primary care for prevention and ongoing health.

4 Use virtual care when a physical exam is unlikely to be needed.
